This study provides evidence that diversity efforts are associated with improved organizational performance. We explore the benefits of by analyzing long-term shareholder value (Tobin's q) and short-term performance (return on assets) companies cited for being leaders in area diversity. Tobin's q is significantly higher included DiversityInc Top 50 list than other companies, implying increase value. Companies a also have better financial performance, return assets, similar their industry. conduct Granger causation analysis, results consistent our interpretation appearance increases q. Our contributes to literature comparing notably recognized not recognized, examining those efforts.
